On behalf of the Festival organizing committee, I’d like to WELCOME you to the 25th Serbian Folkloric Festival.

For the 25th time, this large manifestation is being traditionally held at one of the largest Serbian Centre in Australia. The continuation of this festival in this far continent is of an enormous importance. Its 25th anniversary just demonstrates that we are capable of preserving our Serbian identity no matter how far we are from our mother Serbia, while the presence of one of the festival founders in the role of a distinguished guest, shows our respect towards the people that have worked hard in the interest of the Serbian community.

The aim of the Festival is to showcase the Serbian culture and tradition through song and dance performed by Serbian dancers who are part of the many Serbian national and church organizations across Australia and beyond.

My heart is filled with happiness for having over 1000 performers on stage in colorful Serbian costumes. The beauty of their youth will enrich the program and fulfill the interest of the audience. It is my honor to thank all of the performers for taking part in this year’s festival including our guests from “KUD Kraljevacka Riznica” from Kraljevo and “KUD Gradac” from Valjevo, Serbia, together with the Serbian folkloric groups from Victoria, Queensland, South Australia, Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.

Thanks to all of the Organizing Committee members, Volunteers and our Sponsors, especially the Ministry for Dijaspora and Religion, for their hard work, support and contribution towards a successful realization of this year’s festival.

I am hoping that the folkloric and entertainment program in the hall and outside, the many stalls and amusement park for the young children and the spectacular fireworks will remain in your memory for a very long time.

With passion and love towards what we do along with respect and acknowledgement for all that have assisted in the past and in future, we can achieve our goal of keeping our tradition and culture alive for many years to come!
